Troubleshooting credit card & debit card payment errors

  1. Ensure activation if your card is new or recently reissued.
  2. Verify details: card type (e.g., American Express), account number, and expiration date.
  3. Remove dashes or spaces from the account number.
  4. If all details are correct, call the card issuer's customer service at the 800 number on the back of your card.
  5. Your credit card company might need to speak with you before authorizing your purchase.


Account verification

To avoid any delays in processing your order, make sure the billing address in your order matches the details in your credit card account. If you've moved recently or are unsure where you receive your credit card statements, reach out to your card-issuing bank using the 800 number on the back of your card to verify.


Security codes

The card security code, a distinct three or four digit number, is printed on the front for American Express or on the back for Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards, alongside the account number.

Daily spending limits for Debit Cards

Many debit and check cards come with daily spending limits that can significantly delay order processing, even if there's enough money in the account. When using a debit card, funds get immediately set aside in your bank account upon placing the order. If you're experiencing difficulties placing an order, it's advisable to contact your card-issuing bank for details regarding your daily spending limits.
